This overview shows you how Merchant Helper builds a professional shopping site (Internet Storefront) in couple steps.
Merchant Helper allows you to generate multiple shopping sites and each site is created and organized in a project directory as shown.
Once a project is created, you may define a template for your shopping site’s main page. You may use the template generated by Merchant Helper or any web page created by Web Page authoring tool. We chose Merchant Helper’s template for this example.
This is the template generated by Merchant Helper which contains four components. The next step is to define the content for each component. Any word surrounded by "@@" is regarded as a component such as @@Header Info@@. A component can be defined as a bunch of text, a hyper-link, or an image. A component can contain other components. Using component, you can also build unlimited hyper-links to any depth.
In the example below, we chose 2DEG's logo as our Header Info component.
The Content component is used to introduce what 2DEG stands for.
Next, we define the Footer Info component. The Footer Info component contains two other
components namely Company History and Specials. The two components would be defined as hyper-link component.
At last, we define the Contact Info component as follow.
At this stage, we have a basic skeleton for the shopping site as viewed using Internet Explorer.
Next, we define our category of items.
In the example below, we created a Printer category.
Next, we add items to the Printer category.
We created an item for HP DeskJet 890CSE.
Click the Item Images tab to see the item’s image.
This is what the shopper will see after clicking the Printer Category hyper-link on the left-hand side.
You may enter thousand of items into Merchant Helper and organize them in category and sub-category structures.
This is how simple it is to use Merchant Helper to build an Internet Storefront!!!
